This will produce something of a disconnect, story-wise, as if you are a Knight and choose Sentinel, or a Sith Warrior and choose Marauder, you will get a bag with an offhand saber in it that you can use right away, even though you (probably) haven't yet got to the part of your class story where you make your 'first' lightsaber. Simply install the new bonded crystal in a single-bladed regular lightsaber, and you now have a Crossguard Lightsaber!
